When you’re a kid, caterpillars are awesome. They’re non-threatening, oftentimes they’re beautifully colored or have exotic shapes, the way they move is fascinating, and we all know what happens when they start making a cocoon. Actually, scratch “when you’re a kid,” caterpillars are always awesome.

It seems some gorillas at the Calgary Zoo agree. Some adults found a fuzzy caterpillar inching along the bars of their enclosure and can’t seem to get enough of it. One male even pushes another out of the way so he can get a better look.

The question is, what are they thinking?
